2019 추계학술대회

2019년 추계학술대회는 8월 30일과 31일 양일에 걸쳐 세종대학교 광개토관에서 개최되었다.

금번 추계학술대회에는 총 342명이 참석하여 갑상선관련 연구의 성공적인 교류의 장이 되었다. Education session, symposium, presidential lecture, AOTA prize plenary lecture, meet the professor, 연구위원회, luncheon symposium, 간호사 session, Topic highlights, 자유연제 발표로 나뉘어 진행되었다.

Education session으로 Revised ATA guideline 에서도 강조된 갑상선 수술전 preoperative, intraoperative evaluation 에 대한 내용으로 vocal cord evaluation, neuromonitoring 그리고 surgeon 이 시행하는 intraoperative Ultrasonogram 등 실제 임상에서 적용할 수 있는 내용을 중심으로 강의가 진행되었다. 또한 의료 & 자연방사선과 갑상선이라는 주제로 방사선 및 RAI, 핵의학검사에 의한 방사선 노출과 secondary malignancy 에 대해 의료진 뿐만 아니라 환자들의 막연한 불안감을 해소 할 수 있는 기회가 되었다.

symposium은 크게 CNB 진료 지침 가이드라인, precision medicine in thyroid cancer treatment, management of locally advanced thyroid cancer, bioinformatic approaches of TCGA thyroid cancer, staging evaluation based on Imaging 그리고 통합 symposium 으로 update on the management of Graves disease으로 나뉘어 진행되었다.

core needle biopsy session 은 세침 흡인 검사에 비해 core needle biopsy가 가지는 진단의 유용성에 대한 내용 및 이를 기술하기 위한 진단 보고서의 표준화에 대한 강의가 이루어져 반복적인 세침 흡인 검사에도 결론에 도달하기 어려운 indeterminate nodule 의 진료에 도움이 된 것으로 생각되었다.

Graves disease 치료에 대한 통합symposium 으로 내과, 핵의학과, 외과적 견해와 안병증에 대한 이해를 높여, 환자를 위해 맞춤형 치료 방법을 공유 할 수 있는 시간이 되었다.

Precision medicine in Thyroid cancer treatment 에서는 삼성 서울병원과 서울대학교에서 진행중인 cancer panel 에 대한 연구 결과를 공유할 수 있었고, bioinformatics session 에서는 연구자들이 많은 관심을 갖고는 있지만 쉽게 도전하지 못했던 TCGA data를 적용하는 실질적인 방법에 대해 여러 가지 노하우를 전달하는 귀한 시간이 되었다.

meet the professor session에서는 정재훈 교수님께서 "임신과 갑상선"을 주제로 임신과 관련된 갑상선의 생리적 변화와 이의 올바른 검사 결과의 해석, 치료에 대해 알기 쉽게 강의해 주셨으며, Presidential lecture로는 이재태 교수님께서 "방사성 요오드와 갑상선 암: 과거, 현재 그리고 미래"를 주제로 갑상선 암 치료에 있어서 방사성 요오드치료의 역사 및 최신 경향에 대하여 풍부한 경험을 공유하여 주었다.

AOTA prize plenary lecture 는 김원배 교수님께서 "unmet clinical needs in the management of patients with thyroid cancer"라는 주제로 갑상선 암 치료 분야에서 아직 해결되지 않은 문제에 대해 여러 대안을 제시하였다.

연구위원회에서는 microRNA가 diagnostic 혹은 therapeutic target 으로 사용되는 최신 지견들을 소개함으로써 연구자들이 갑상선 암에 있어 microRNA 의 적용에 대해 아이디어를 얻을 수 있는 소중한 시간이 되었으며, 간호사 session 에서는 갑상선 질환을 가진 환자들에게 도움을 줄 수 있는 무기질 및 영양 관리에 대한 강의로 알차게 구성되었다.

2019년 대한갑상선학회 임상연구상은 서울의대 문재훈 교수가 "Clinical usefulness of a web solution detecting recurrence of Graves' disease with biosignals from wearable devices in the patients who discontinue anti-thyroidal drugs", 경북의대 이재태 교수가 "Multi-center retrospective study of development of secondary malignancy after radioiodine therapy in thyroid cancer patients", 젊은 연구자상은 서울의대 조선욱 교수가 "Effects of excessive maternal iodine intake during pregnancy on fetal and infant developments", 젊은 연구자상 특별상은 차의과대학 송영신 교수가 "Identification of targetable alterations by the analysis of cancer evolution and heterogeneity in anaplastic thyroid cancer" 으로 각각 수상하였다. 또한 최우수 연제상은 가톨릭의대 정찬권 교수가 "Comprehensive DNA methylation profiling identifies novel diagnostic biomarkers for thyroid cancer", 서울의대 이영아 교수가 "Genetic alterations and molecular characteristics in pediatric papillary thyroid carcinoma"으로 수상하였다.
